Connotations photo exercise

Connotations photo exercise -

These are the photos that were taken for this exercise. 

Purity- This is a picture of running water. This connotes purity because water is clean and clear.

We chose a tap because that is where we could get water from. This is a extreme close up because it is 100% object. It is also shot with light to show the clear picture, it is also high angle.

Greed - This connotes greed because I am looking at something on the wall in greed, wanting it in greed. This is a mid shot because it is 50% object 50% background. It is eye level because this will let the viewer relate and understand what is going on. The lighting is bright so you can see what is going on.

Wealth - This connotes wealth because in the picture I appear as tall and powerful. The camera is at a low angle to make me look even taller, and is a long shot because it is 80% object and 20% background. This is to show all of me and connote 
wealth. 

Fear - This connotes fear because Liam's face shows fear. This is a close up with bright light so you can see his face. With a straight on camera position so the audience can relate to it.

Danger - This danger because in the picture Liam is tripping over which is dangerous and the ground is red which connotes danger. The picture is an extreme close up because it is 100% object and 0% background. The shot is dark which is mysterious which creates fright. 

Love - This is love because two hands are holding which connotes love. It is a mid shot because it is 50% object and 50% background. The shot has clear lighting so you can see the whole picture.

Friendship - This is friendship because in this photo we are in the photo together. We decided to shoot it in the dark because it would be easier to show friendship with two people than with one person, but we also needed to take the picture. That's why we have hidden the camera. 

Strength - This connotes strength because I am towering over all the other objects in the photo. I look big and powerful in this shot because everything else is small and unimportant. Its a low angled shot to make me look bigger. Its also a canted angle to draw your eyes along the fence towards me. 

Poverty - This connotes poverty because he is sitting on a dirty ground surrounded by a container and wooded posts being swamped by the shadows. It is a high angle long shot to show the whole picture and how he is cowering from the rest of the world. 

Weakness - This connotes weakness because Liam is hiding from the camera because he is scared and afraid because in this picture he is weak. This shot is a high angle mid shot to show how powerless he is and to get reasonably close to the camera.

Loneliness - This connotes loneliness because I am sitting on my own with no one else around. It is a wide, long shot to show no one else in the shot. We shot it at a bright location so you viewer can see all of what is going on and can relate to it.

Desire - This is desire because I am looking the posters and wanting them. It is an over the shoulder shot to give the viewer my perspective. with high brightness to show what's going on.
